Add this one to your 'easy and cheap' dinner rotation or even your 'easy entertainer' list.
Chicken wings are cheap and this marinade is also great on pork ribs or drumsticks. You can put it on barbeque or my choice - in the oven. These are also fantastic cold and we will take the leftovers for work-lunches or for picnics. We also make ahead for picnic and family functions to eat cold.
Ingredients:
1.5 kg chicken wings (roughly 9 large ones)
2/3 cup plum sauce (SPC make one in a jar, you'll find it in the supermarket with sauces like tomato, worchestershire etc.)
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 tb worchestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 tb brown sugar
Method:
Make your marinade - either in ziplock bag or airtight container with all ingredients above, except the chicken,
Mix well and add your chicken
Put in fridge for at least one hour, but if you're in a rush 1 hour is enough.
Put on a greased baking tray and into a hot (220 deg c) oven for around 30 minutes or until cooked through
Serve hot or cold with salad or vegetables...
