Word to the wise Wednesday - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle for FUN.

Plastic Bag Kites
Ok, so plastic bags are bad. Shouldn't use them and we don't most of the time - but I have 4 set aside to make plastic kites when it stops raining (hopefully sometime today)
You need per kite:
1 plastic bag
3-10m string depending on where you will use it (i.e. windy environment or just running around the backyard)
Stapler
Scraps of coloured plastic bags and/or streamers cut into 40cm strips.
Basically at the bottom of the bag staple on streamers and thread one end of your string through both handles of a supermarket shopping bag and then tie the threaded end to the length (i.e. it should be a loop).
You could also wind the end around a stick so your little ones can grip.

Great idea! I NEVER accept plastic bags but the devils still find their way into the house - grr! I will definitely do this next windy day.

What a neat way to re-use and recycle :)

Hope the rain does stop today for you!
