How I've been frugal
1. Continued not to use the dryer
2. Made my morning tea to take to playgroup instead of buying it!
3. Made the kids lunchboxes when on an outing instead of buying lunch
4. Stuck to our mealplan
5. Got some bargains at Vinnies - shirt and waistcoat for dress up party outfit this weekend, some toys and books for the kids @ $16 for the lot
Public transport is so expensive - for me and the kids (well actually I only paid for Eloise) it cost $24.20 return to go to Warringah Mall on Tuesday! That is ludicrous! Private buslines+state buslines have no affiliation !!
The food budget:
So this week:Monthly Staples: 139.28
28/6 - $30.16 Woolworths - more Helgas bread (stocked up for another week) on special $2.99 loaf, BBQ for chicken noodle soup, milk, nutella type spread for scrolls, bananas
28/6 - $6.10 Fruit Market - cherries and passionfruit
29/6 $9.00 Woolworths for diet coke (4 x 2l)
1/7 $6.60 chips for kids on outing to park
Total spend: $190.14 this week (approx $9 under budget)
Month to date: $835.74 ($94.16 left in budget)

Woo hoo - great show of frugality!
That bus fare is outrageous, highway robbery, you'd be better off going to Chatswood via French's Forest wouldn't you?
