Fathers Day pressie ideas and Uberkate giveaway valued at $395!

Fathers day around here is pretty low key but this year I'd like to give hubby a few things:
- A nice long sleep in - Sleep is a precious commodity in this house
- A family picnic
- His favourite dinner - Pork Roast and I think I might even make him a tiramisu - even though I don't personally like it! (OK, I wouldn't eat it at all, but that's more for him :) )

When it comes to gifts I'm as usual a bit stumped.  Usually it's something for the garden, the house or a book - you know, something practical.    I'm going to try and diverge from this for this Fath
er's day.

There will definitely be something homemade, and something 'special' I think.

Here's some stuff I think is very 'my hubby' and you might like too...

Beer: A gauge for enthusiasts $23.95 from Booktopia

From ThinkGeek $15-19 USD - Quick and cheap postage too
I bought this one for my hubby last father's day, he loves it - and yes, is asked a lot regardless! These are also from Think Geek.

Aaaaaand... for the Pièce de résistance...!

When Uberkate sent me their details of their website to share with you, lightbulbs went off!  Kate's creation are a perfect mix of masculinity, style, design whilst still being a little bit mushy.  (A good description of my hubby truth be told)

Each piece is designed and handcrafted by Uberkate owner and designer Kate Sutton - she says “My inspiration for this range was plant life. The metal has been shaped to emulate growing vines, especially the way they twist and turn.

“I have also named it the Living Range because the pieces can be added to as the family grows and changes over time.” Sutton wanted to create a range especially for dads that allow them to keep their family close when they are away from home.

The Living Range is available as a set or individually. The set can be bought for a special Father’s Day price of $595rrp and the key ring can be purchased individually for $295rrp and the cufflinks for $395rrp.

They all come personalised for you - a message, your kids initials, a special date, even your phone number if your hubby is prone to losing his keys!

Visit Uberkate at www.uberkate.com.au or 'like' Uberkate on Facebook here

My Dad is one of my best friends. I think that's one of the most wonderful things about getting older; you move from that parent child dynamic to something much closer. I remember fondly nights spent listening to his vinyl records when I was a kid. He'd explain to me all about the band's history and each song's lyrics, and I'd know to tread very carefully. He introduced me to rugby league, and I still love to go and have a beer with him at the pub and watch a game. He's always moaned about living in a family full of girls, but I know that while he rarely admits it he wouldn't trade his wife, three daughters, and now one granddaughter, for the world.

thanks so much for the opportunity to win such a fab gift - this giveaway is just amazing.

i was lucky enough to recieve an uberkate bangle set with the childrens names engraved on it from my OH this year for our 5 year wedding anniversary. i love it and pretty much wear it all the time.

my littlest one Christoffer (5 month old boy) just adores his dad - when Michael is around he cannt take his eyes off him. i love seeing them enjoying each others company.

I soooooooo want to win this comp!

I really want to surprise my hubby with a lovely gift, but being a stay-at-home mum don't have a secret account to be able to go out and get something like this.

He has to travel a lot for business so I know these will make the long work days a little extra special. He adores his girls and calls multiple times throughout the day just to see what they're doing.

My fiancee is an awesome dad to our autistic boy. He has really embraced what life has dealt us and is my rock. The look on his face every time our son does something new is priceless. He is so proud of our son and would love to win this to say thankyou for the countless hours spent in therapy and doctors appointments, the questions he asks when i completely forget.

My dad is special because every time he hears Kiss "I was made for loving you" he calls me. I used to head bang to Kiss when I was a wee lass (three year old!!).

My hubby is special because this morning he got up at 5am and looked after the little one while I got some more sleep. We only got to bed at 1am, so the extra zzzzzs were needed by us both!

What a fab giveaway!!

My kids are the apples of my husbands eye. My 3 children adore their daddy and await his arrival home from work with such anticipation. Each car they hear they run to the door screaming 'DADDY' and are so excited when it is him walking through the door.
A gift like this would bring a tear to his eye I am sure!!
