Season Savvy Challenge Week 2 - Pears

How we love pears at this time of the year right?

So here's Season Savvy for this week my friends - it's all about pears!  I've seen pears as low as .99c - 1.50 a kilo - so it's a good time to be cooking/eating pears!

Want to play along?

The idea behind Season Savvy is to try and eat produce when it's in season.   It's plentiful, at its best quality and cheaper to buy aswell.. so challenge yourself!

So what do you need to do?
1.  Find a recipe you love or a way you love to eat pears - it doesn't need to be the main ingredient, but it needs to be in the dish.. and it doesn't need to be fancy either!
2. Make it, photograph it and share the recipe (it doesn't need to be-step-by-step photos!)
3. Post your link (or the link to one you love, love, love) down there with the Linkytool down below
4. Go visit, get visited and share the season savvy love with comments!

OR, tell me which recipe you'd like to try and why  or one you've already tried..!

Mmm pear crumble! Great idea - you always think of crumble as being apples or berries. I've got four pears destined for crumble tonight! Thanks for the inspiration, I love this series.

Would my boiled and pureed pears for the baby count as a worthy pear meal?!

That porridge sounds interesting and unique. Will have to give it a go. Pears and Rubarb would be great together. Thanks. Mel

I'm definitely gong to try the beetroot and pear soup - love the idea of earthy beetroot combined with the sweet pear.

Under-ripe pears sliced into segments and dipped into warmed Nutella. That is all. xx
