Plans for the weekend? Visit Vivid Sydney Festival

As I've been getting around Sydney CBD a bit of late, with the Sydney Film Festival - but there's no missing - that's not the only festival on.

Vivid Sydney is on until 27th June - but my friends this weekend is a perfect time to take the kids - because we have a long weekend and it's when there's the most things to see.  It seems to be everywhere!

You can pick up a guide after 5.30pm at Circular Quay, and with it you'll also get a manual powered torch - you charge the battery inside by gripping a lever on it's side - easy to do - and a long-term investment I say - brilliant toy for the kids or an emergency supply for blackouts etc.  They are FREE, as is all of the sightseeing, there's a few performances at the Sydney Opera House you can see for free or pay for (many visiting musicians, comedians etc).  See more details, maps, general information here.

Here's some of my snaps...

I would love to see the light shows that are going on. The partner of one of the guys I work with is organising them, and they sound just gorgeous :)

We took our two girls last Saturday. It was beautiful and a lovely night to be out after the heavy rains last week.

Vivid is great! I really like the sinking ship production. It's really well done!
