Pink Ribbon Day! We've got a fantastic giveaway!

Although it's officially pink ribbon month, today is also the heralded day to 'think pink'.  I myself will be celebrating pink ribbon day by cooking for the pink ribbon breakfast I have helped organise this Thursday... there's still plenty of time to decide to fundraise or hold a pink ribbon morning tea you know!  Just visit http://www.pinkribbonday.com.au or http://www.pinkribbonbreakfast.org.au/

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among women in Australia.  It is estimated that in 2009, 13,698 new cases will be diagnosed in women. New diagnoses are also expected in 106 men.
The incidence of breast cancer is increasing, but with continued support and funding from organisations like the National Breast Cancer Foundation, improvements in research mean survival rates are on the rise.

My favourite photo was taken too many years ago to count but it is of me and my sister hugging each other on the front verandah of our new home - we were maybe 2 and 4 at the time! Makes me smile everytime that I look at it!

My favourite photo is of my eldest daughter meeting her newborn sister. They are staring at each other in wonder and it's the beginning of a lifelong friendship.

Oooh drawn on my birthday! Maybe I'll get lucky!

My favourite photo EVER is that of me and my late Father on my wedding day. Before we left for the wedding he and I were talking, standing face to face and he had his arms on my shoulders. He looked so mighty proud. I still have trouble looking at it with the emotion that is invested in it!

What an amazing prize!

My favourite photo is one of my late grandmother and I. I would be about 2 years old. We are sitting on some swings and she is watching me with this bemused little smile on her face. I am mid-swing, blonde hair flying, blue eyes sparkling, and, apparently, in the middle of telling a truly grand tale. As I was wont to do when I was 2 and had no concept of being self conscious! (I don't tell grand tales anymore...... do I?!) Its slightly grainy, the colour is washed out, but this photo - literally! - tells a thousand words.

My fave photo is one that sits in my kitchen. Its of hubby sitting in the rocking chair with my daughters on his knee. Screamie II (even screamier) is about eight months old and has her hands tangled in the hair of Screamie I aged just three. Screamie I is looking at the camera with this pained expression going "you just had to have her didn't you."
Hubby is laughing his head off.

It just sums up my family really and makes me smile every time I look at it.

Cait :)

My favourite photo is of my darling cat Houston, I miss seeing him around the house so much that each glimpse of him reminds me of his little personality and all the love I had for him (and how much he hated cuddles lol)
