The Birthday Party Report - Olivia and Laura turn four..

Disclaimer - we don't have a lot of photos but I do have more on the way from family and friends!

As you may or may not know, my girls asked for a rainbow party some months ago so I put on my thinking cap:

Rainbow cake - this took for each cake three standard cake mixes (so people that is butter cake x 6 !)
Rainbow Jelly (7 colours, flavours!)
I made rainbow fruit kebabs (thanks for the suggestion guys!)
Fairy bread
Cocktail franks
Crisps and lollies

Here are some of the pics!

Morning Inspection of cakes in PJ's - Laura

Olivia

(tip, I covered chopping boards in plastic tablecloths to put the cake on, when it was cut I removed the cake, then tore the plastic off and put in the bin, no washing up!  I also used the same tablecloth taped to some styrofoam which I put the rainbow kebab skewers in so they stood upright)

All dressed and ready to RAINBOW!!

THE Rainbow jelly Rainbow!!

Just some of the food!

Here's the rainbow jelly on the plate, looked very cool!

Rainbow Fruit kebabs - a huge hit

And the girls devouring

A big hit, party games!  Pass the parcel - all the kids were so great!

Laura's first ever go at Pin the tail on the donkey!

Cutting of the cakes, Laura first

Olivia second (we take turns each year - Olivia said that having everyone sing happy birthday JUST to her was her favourite part of the party! )

Cake appreciation

Path of destruction - the inner of one of the rainbow cakes..

Quiet time together after the party, happily blowing bubbles..
