I love this.  How cool is it?  A jug that measures not only visually, but digitally - exactly.  Rina,  I think you're going to want this!

What will they think of next #17 - new levels of weird...

I've been told that the smallest thing you should put in your ear is your elbow.  Well the japanese think maybe it should be this electronic ear cleaner with camera, so you can see exactly what happens when you pierce your eardrum.  Brilliant no?

You're not going to believe this one - what do you think these are?

Well they are USB eye massagers.
Yes. really.

The manufacturer claims that massage is pretty much the best thing ever invented and helps to "aid digestion...fight against infection" and that it "stimulates the lymphatic system." All that from two fingers being jammed into your eye socket. u-huh. Whatever you say.

What will they think of next #15 - Control your kid by remote?

Control your kid by remote - no joke!

Well maybe just a little one!  Every parents' fantasy - a remote control to stop screaming, tattoos, sulking, a button to command a please, thank you, to tidy their room - don't you love it.

A great fun gift from Home Couture - maybe a gift for that idealistic parent-to-be or clueless babysitter...
$8.95
Instructions:
•No batteries required: powered by positive thinking.
•To operate, just point remote at subject, push any button on the remote and hope for the best.

Now I really, really need at least one of these!

First of all: The Ultimate Key Finder
Attach the receiver to your key ring and the card somewhere where you won't lose it (I know kind of defeats the purpose if you do!)

If your keys are anywhere within 25 metres (80 feet), this powerful little bloodhound will sniff them out at the push of a button, so you can be out the door and on your way in seconds – no stress, no fights, no need to become a human sound effect.

It's makes a life-saving gift for busy (forgetful) people, and an even better idea for those who are sick of being drawn into the "has anyone seen..." game.$29.95 from latest buy

Second one is for those of you who misplace your keys or purse/wallet/work ID's/mobile phone/remote.
Find It All Key Finder

This is a two-way finder - so as long as you locate your keys or purse/wallet/work ID's/whatever you'll be fine.

To locate a missing object attached to a Find It All Key Finder fob, simply locate one of your other Find It All Key Finder fobs and enter the code corresponding to the item you are searching for. If the missing fob is within range (up to 10 metres / 30 feet) it will begin to beep and flash.
Find It All Key Finders also feature proximity detection, whereby the rate at which the fob used to locate another fob is flashing represents the distance between the two fobs. Therefore, the closer you get to a missing item the faster the LED light flashes.

You tech-heads out there now have something to go with your USB Toaster. The USB Powered Beans Microwave.
Source: Gizmodo

"Sometimes, when you’re sitting at your desk, all you want are some piping-hot baked beans. Hey, we all know it, why not admit it? That’s why Heinz is working on a USB beans microwave.
No, this isn’t a joke. The Beanzawave—yes, Beanzawave—is billed as the world’s smallest microwave, measuring just 18.8cm tall by 6.6cm wide and 15cm deep. It’s perfect for desktop bean cookery, and Heinz is even dabbling in Lithium Ion batteries for on the go beans heating. Amazing."

Man I love this!

When you're picking up your kids here-there-everywhere - your inconvenience could end up your trump card - they'll be catching the bus and using their legs (no they're not broken) before you know it! They need to make 'Mum' version though!

Dad's cab is available through Amazon - for $15.99 USD.

Well since Dougall came along I have to admit the negative side is he doesn't use the toilet! But maybe that's a thing of the past..
The powerloo is seriously looking like a good idea to me!
The Powerloo the outside dog toilet! Several colour options even.. you'd need a plumber to install it. Hell if you have a barbeque your guests could use it!

I suppose with all this rain it's little wonder I stumbled upon this and thought 'oh I know a few people who would love to freak out people with this!'

The Samurai Umbrella.

Pull it out of it's cover and people will start ducking with fright that you're about to chop their heads off!

Available from Think Geek (yes they have HEAPS of great stuff and deliver to Australia! I recommend the random key stroker - have had hours of fun and torment with co-workers with this!)
Retails for USD 29.99

If you're anything like me you'll be seriously thinking you need one of these, and no, it's not because it's red!! I blog in the dark all the time, I love this idea!
The Mr Brightside's USB Light just slots into the side of your laptop - I suppose for those non-touch-typers out there (don't know how you do it but anyhoo...) would find it very practical.

$9 US for one $20.20 for 3 - buy them from here.

Now I kind of like this one, and if you're anything like me, when stirring something on the stove (particularly when it needs attention like white sauce or custard!) you get a gadzillion interruptions - like there's an alarm going off somewhere..

Anyhoo - this little contraption will vibrate and spin in your pot whilst it is warming, so if you are prone to a lot of interruptions or you're just lazy and can't drag yourself away from Ellen this might be for you. Good for Risotto too huh?

You can buy from uutensil for about $40 AUD.

OK, now this one is just odd..

A portable toaster - I mean the only people I can see using this is geeks who don't leave their desk and have a barfridge positioned underneath it.

Unlike standard toasters, the Portable Toaster "has a graphic user interface that shows how well the bread is toasted and how long it has been in with animated pictures.
Apparently it takes a while to even master without burning yourself several times.

I'd like to know someone who bought one of these.. or maybe I wouldn't.

What do think this is?

A bike pump?
A sex toy?

This is actually a mobile expresso machine - the Handpresso.
I love kitchen gadgets and although I'm sure this won't live up to the local cafe or our at-home Gaggia apparently it's really popular in the US and retails for $150 US.
Great for that person who can't live without one and is out camping/boat-trip or stuck on a desert island...
I suppose if you've woken up this morning craving a coffee, even one from this might do!
