Tell me how you spoil yourself and win $250 to spend at Myer plus $250 worth of Lindt!

Spoiling yourself is so relative isn't it?

I remember spoiling myself would be going on a holiday or buying myself a designer label... going to a three-hatted restaurant.  These days spoiling myself may mean a hair cut, new underwear or a few hours to myself to read in peace.

Regardless of whether you're a mother or not, on a budget or not everyone needs spoiling every now and then - giving yourself permission to be spoiled is a struggle for me at times, but we all deserve it - I think a little bit of spoiling can put things in perspective and make the daily grind 'do-able' again.

So my friends I think you all need a bit of spoiling, and so do Lindt - they've given me a package of a $250 basket of chocolate goodness plus a $250 Myer voucher for you to well and truly spoil yourself.  And friends I mean YOU.  Not new pyjamas for your little one, not a birthday present for your auntie... this needs to be all about YOU.

So to enter you need to:
  • Leave me a comment here telling me how you will spoil yourself with this prize
  • An extra entry if you post a separate comment telling me how you like to spoil yourself for  under $10
  • Enter only once in the above two methods
  • There will other ways to enter too - find out on 16th May!
  • Entries close 31st May 2011
  • Entry open to those with an Australian postal address

Now, if that's not enough, Lindt are also giving away 5 x  1,000 photo sessions with Lindt Lindor for Mother's day. Join Lindt on Facebook  - to submit your entry before 8th May!

Good luck and share this with people you think need some spoiling! xxx

I spoil myself by buying new underwear, you may not see it but nothing beats the feeling of comfortable new underwear. Myer have the ultimate in specialty underwear, the last time i bought it there was for my honeymoon. Not forgetting about a large bag of roated nut mix. Yummyyyyyy!!

Wow $250 for Myer , how exciting I,d go to the beauty counter and buy some lavish beauty products for a perfect indulgence some of which I,d use when I lay back in the bath with a glass of bubbly and my favorite rocky road I make from Lindt

Kids off to Gran's for twenty four hours, house to myself. Champagne, strawberries and LINDT to follow. A bubble bath filled to the top for an hour long soak, while listening to a new cd. Then new pyjamas. Lounging on fresh sheets watching a couple of dvds. All these little luxuries thanks to LINDT and MYER.

twcourt on May 11, 2011 at 1:26 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

$10 would give me hours of pleasure, fill my tummy, put a huge smile on my face and it's all thanks to a box of LINDT.

Anne Freier said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

My ultimate decadence would be to go to the Myer book department and browse through the cook books - I read them like novels. It is the ultimate act of inspiration. Then I'd buy all those that took my fancy!

Anne F said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

To spoil myself for under $10 I would make a mini Lindt chocolate fondue with only one fork (no sharing!). Marshmallows, strawberries smothered in molten magic and just wait quietly for the endorphins to kick in.

Faye Killoran said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

A new doona and pillows, then some super indulgence in Lindt chocolate..

Josiejo said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

$250? On me? What a novel concept!
I think I would spend it on a gorgeous new coat that I have been coveting. For my first year experiencing a Canberra winter it is a most definately needed item.

Josiejo said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

Spoling uner $10?
Oh, easy-peasy!
Coffee, well actually that's a lie since I don't like cafe coffee (give me Nescafe Blend 43 anyday!), So make that a cup of tea and a delicious serving of cake at a quiet cafe - preferably a bookshop cafe where I can take half a hour to indulge my tummy and read ..... something/anything and be me for just a little bit.
.
Oooh it's an omen - the word verification thingy below is 'almost' my son's name!!

PaulsiePops on May 16, 2011 at 6:57 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

A new winter blanket for the bed - that would be a true luxury! and some new pjs. It is going to be a very cold winter in Ballarat this year!

PaulsiePops on May 16, 2011 at 6:58 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

$10 luxury would be to send the kids out with dad to play in the backyard while I read a book & enjoyed a coffee - don't even need $10 for that one!

Bel on May 16, 2011 at 7:30 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

$250 at Myer!? It would probably all go on bras and undies. Sad, I know. Money is tight, and bras in my size are ridiculously expensive and I've lost enough weight that my old undies are, well, there's lots of plumbers crack involved, let me tell you!

Bel on May 16, 2011 at 7:31 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

$10 treat is easy. A cup of Lady Grey tea in a thermos, a fresh baked slice with the kids at the park. They burn energy, I get yummies. win win.

oh yes please. I would consider myself totally un-spoilt lately. Do Myer still have beauty salons? See, so long since I investigated I don't know for sure. However, failing that I would book in at one of the makeup counters for a makeover and buy up on lots of lovely products.

duchess_declutter on May 16, 2011 at 9:35 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

For under $10 I'd buy some really nice handcrean - something that I'd not usually splash out on. Thanks for a great giveaway! There are some lovely ideas here on how to spoil yourself too.

merlin2 said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

I wait until chocolates are on special, then buy heaps and hide them until I can get a day in bed, with a good book and a box of choccys

I would buy books, and lots of them! I know I will always enjoy them even if I have read them before, and it is a luxury I don't usually afford myself.

Anonymous said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

To spoil myself for under $10 would be a trip to the beach and eat chicken and chips with the hubby watching the sun go down, just like on our wedding day :)

Anita on May 17, 2011 at 10:48 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

I've been thinking about this for days and days and days and finally came up with something I would buy from Myer that would be an indulgence just for me; my first thought was a handbag but everyone else piles their crap in my bags too, I've settled though, on a beautiful warm wool winter coat. It will last me for years and years and what's more indulgent than being cosy warm wherever you are all through what's shaping up to be an exceptionally icy winter?!

Anita on May 17, 2011 at 10:51 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

To spoil myself for under $10 I would have to say a day away from home. $10 would buy me the fuel to get away and a hot drink, I'd take my camera and spend the day clicking away, uninterrupted.

Tully on May 17, 2011 at 11:19 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

Spoiling myself for OVER $10 is a little tricky - so many ways to do it! But I would think its going to a lovely boutique coffee/book store and indulging in a coffee, cake, and great new book!

Awesome prize! For $250, I'd spoil myself with frivolous things - fancy lace underwear, Chanel perfume, and a racy novel. All to be enjoyed ALONE, with the chocolate (but perhaps not all at once).

Agnes on May 18, 2011 at 5:57 PM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

@Agnes

And for well under $10, here's how I spoil myself: a bath, a favourite old book (recently Little Women) and a cup of tea. Bliss.

Dee Kain said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

It would start with a much needed home style facial...mmm...some wonderful face products would be ideal; coupled with a good book and wrapped in a luscious cotton robe. What a great way to spend a guilt free chocolate eating afternoon.

Spoiling myself for under 10 dollars consists of some much needed time alone, a saucy book from the library, cheap sweet bubbly, a scented candle and a hot bath. Pure bliss.....

Amanda A said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

I suffer from a chronic illness so I would buy some nice clothes to cheer myself up so I look good on the outside even though I feel crappy on the inside! I could eat the dark choc Lindt but not the milk as I am allergic to dairy but I am sure my friends and family would enjoy it!

Amanda A said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

I would spoil myself for under $10 by having a nice hot shower to ease my pains (I have a chronic illness) and then having a hot cup of tea in bed while cuddling my 3 gorgeous guinea pigs :)

I;d give the prizes to my wife.

kelmel said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

My resolution a year ago was to allocate myself some "me time", and to get fit. Being a multi-tasking mummy I combined the two and my "me time" is when I can get out the door, alone, for a run. My old shoes are so close to a blow-out it's not funny (repairs done with stick-on foam left over from Easter bonnet making so not doing the job), so I would spoil myself by buying new running shoes.

Lovely Lassy on May 19, 2011 at 11:47 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

Oh oh oh, I'd so get myself some new jumpers and pants. And the lindt! Well I would devour it, we don't buy it in this house because it's not gluten free snd my daughter can't eat it but I can!

Lovely Lassy on May 19, 2011 at 11:48 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

Ali said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

Spoiling myself means treating myself to something I never normally do so....I'd plan the best bath ever as I never have time for a bath. I'd buy a beautiful crystal champagne flute (for some yummy bubbles), some gorgeous candles, essential oils and bath crystals, a new luxurious bath towel and a pair of toasty warm winter pjs to cosy up in after my decadent bathtime treat. Bathtime bliss and sure beats my usual bathtime wrangling a slippery 2 year old!

I'd spoil myself first by a small, but special indulgence of that quality chocolate everyday - stretching out the joy for as many days as I could manage. And with the Myer gift I would FINALLY get myself a piece from one of Australia's top designers. I always look at the beautiful clothes, but can never justify spending such a big chunk of money on myself. Just once I'd like to go for it, guilt-free!

Under $10 - easy. I'd spoil myself by going for a walk...all alone between 5pm-7pm (my family's witching hour) along the Spit Bridge to Manly walk. Something about walking at the relative quiet of dusk, the breeze carrying the scent of orange blossom or jasmine or just the smell of the sea is, for me, so very close to heaven

If I won 250 dollars spend in Myer, I would buy myself Lancombe liquid foundation since my son dropped the glass bottle and broke it 2 months ago. So I have been putting my finger into the bottle trying ever so hard not to cut myself.(which I have done) I can't afford for it to go to waste. I would then buy lancombe lipgloss because I have been without lipstick for almost 6 months now. I would also buy eyeshadow. I have run out and have been using my 12 year old daughters (girly) eyeshadow.
If there is any left after that. I would buy something only on sale because that's the way I shop! I have a problem with paying full price. I also won't buy cheap makeup and so go without, until I can afford lancombe:)
As for the basket of chocolate. I would share with my family.

Since marrying 18 years ago, I have ALWAYS wanted a Le Creuset French Oven, but money has always gone to other things. If I won, I'd finally splurge! And i'd also be so self-indulgent as to not tell the four kids about the big basket of Lindt choccies I'd won, and share them with hubby every night until I could eat no more. Under $10 treat? I get the first bath before the four kids!!!! I fill it up, add some lovely bubbles, pop on some music, put the 15 year-old in charge, grab a book and tell the kids i'm not to be disturbed for 45 minutes. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, i'm in heaven!!!

Six weeks after I give birth to B2 (due in Sept) I will be attending my brother's wedding. So in my zombie, no sleep, just had a baby and feel all frumpy state, $250 will go nicely towards a smashing outfit and accessories!

To spoil myself under $10, I would give that $10, ask hubby to take Mr 2 to the park and shout them both an ice-cream while I have a lovely relaxing afternoon with my Kindle :)

Me on May 25, 2011 at 6:39 PM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

Spoiling myself means curling up with a good book... alone.
Spoiling myself means 'bending' my diet with a bowel of ice cream, and a soppy movie.
Spoiling myself means all of these things, but I know that by having my family by my side, happy and healthy every day I am spoiled in every way I could ever want, I know there are lots of people out there who do not get the same luxury as me.

Me on May 25, 2011 at 6:40 PM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

Spoiling myself under $10 means being one of those few women you see on a cheap Tuesday at the movies on her own with a choc top, I absolutely love it, some me time and all for $9.50

Ooooh goodies! I'd spoil myself with some new underwear! It's one of those luxuries that always seem to get put on the backburner in favour of buying new things for the kids!

Hannah on May 26, 2011 at 10:33 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

There's no Myer where I live, so it's easy for me: I'd spoil myself by flying back to Brisbane to see my family. Then, I'd leave my 2 year old and my 7 month old with their grandfather and take my mum and sister with me on a big shopping spree for new clothes! I've been pregnant/breastfeeding for about 3 years now so it's been a long while since I have indulged in new clothes!

Hannah on May 26, 2011 at 10:36 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

Under $10: These days I've started 'spoiling' myself by insisting on some 'me' time. When hubby gets home from work, I'm already dressed in my jogging clothes and I'm out the door for 30 minutes. He's the one who has to deal with 'arsenic hour' and bath time, and I get some exercise and much needed 'time out' from the little ones (we live away from family).

Amy Marshall on May 26, 2011 at 11:16 AM said... [Reply to this amazing comment]

$250 at myer would be spent on clothes from taking shape. they do a mighty fine pant for the fuller figured woman but they aint cheap!

I'd go to Myer and buy some fantastic maternity clothes- I feel like such a frump being pregnant for the 3rd time in under 4 years. I'd love to get something nice to wear to bed and if there was any money left over, I'd buy some bath products and a scented candle! I love a good soak!

A $250 Myer voucher would mean I could afford to buy myself a beautiful new dress for a very special occasion I have coming up later this year.

My husband and I, along with a special group of family & friends, willbe marking 10 years since a treasured friend passed away far too soon. In his honour we will stage a "Day at the Races", which is one of the outings Adam loved to do most.

When I factor in the cost of accommodation and airfares I am not sure how much will be left over to get me a brand spanking new party dress. And the one I usually use, well, its been now used beyond use! So this voucher would be a "God-send" for me.

And oh, might I just add, Lindt Chocolate you are my ultimate indulgent go to treat! Yummmmmm...
